U.S. Trust is proud to have a continuing relationship with the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, S.C. Last year, through the Bank of America Art Conservation Project, the Gibbes received a grant for the restoration of two pastel-on-paper artworks painted in 1704 by Irish-born American artist Henrietta de Beaulieu Dering Johnston and acquired by the museum in 2014. In May, U.S. Trust once again cosponsored the institution’s annual “Gibbes Street Party,” which took place in front of the museum, and this year’s
theme was centered on China.
